Over the weekend I came across the most beautiful display of bunting in a street in Leuven, Belgium! Happiness!

{ Congrats Cape Town }
This morning Cape Town was named World Design Capital 2014. The elected city was revealed on the closing day of the International Design Alliance Congress in Taipei. This prestigious accolade is awarded biennially by the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (ICSID) to cities that are dedicated towards bringing social, economic and cultural change through design centred initiatives. Fellow short-listed cities were Dublin and Bilbao.
{ Alexa Meade }
I am totally blown away by the work of Alexa Meade. This 25-year-old artist’s work lies at the intersection of painting, photography, performance and installation. It is utterly amazing - I’d love to see her work in person. She is currently exhibiting limited edition prints in the group show “You are Here” at Dorian Grey Gallery in New York City until November 13. You can also visit her Flickr page to stay up to date with her latest projects.
{ Fabulous Fringe }
I can spend forever on CONFETTISYSTEM’s website as I’m hypnotized by the eye candy created by artistic duo Nicholas Andersen and Julie Ho. Their work is lighthearted and fun, yet very sophisticated and lush. These Installations by CONFETTISYSTEM are the kind that stop you right in your tracks and slap you in the face – it’s THAT amazing!
CONFETTISYSTEM has art directed and created installations and sets for fashion brands, clients in the music industry, private celebrations as well as galleries to name a few.
To see some more fabulous eye candy or buy some of your own, visit their website and blog! Have fun!
{ Cuteness Overload }
So what’s cuter than a baby and a puppy? Well… a baby with an adorable bandana bib and a puppy with a bow tie! I mean really… I think my head might explode of all this cuteness! The baby bandana bibs are from lil’ Adi and the stylish bow tie dog collars are from Silly Buddy.
{ Meet MUT }

LEAF is an adult swing designed by Alberto Sánchez. This swing, inspired by falling leaves in autumn, was created to evoke special childhood memories and is at its most beautiful where the sun can cast delicate shadows through its unique design. I can just imagine!
ROOTS is a modular planting system designed by Alberto Sánchez. Inspired by traditional trellises, the ROOTS flowerpots allow one to create unique mini-gardens in any location. By creating your own composition, you are able to create a modular garden for your kitchen, small apartment or even use it as an interesting room divider – How fabulous is that!?

{ Oh Clutch! }
I want all three! These beautiful M. Hulot clutches can be found at Independent Boutique. Unfortunately they only ship to the UK at this stage... Guess I’ll have to make some friends in the UK!
{ Kamers Vol Geskenke }
If the supplier morning at Lourensford is anything to go by, then the ninth KAMERS vol geskenke event is going to be a RAGING success. I so wish I could go, all you lovelies in Cape Town and Pretoria will have to go and tell me how it was!
The KAMERS vol geskenke team are well known for their innovative sourcing of creative talent and collaboration with suppliers on fresh and new product ideas - it is a platform for unique quality handmade and crafted products that are not easily available in the market place.
With its emphasis on handcrafted wares, from jewellery to gourmet products, ceramics, soft furnishings, tableware, décor accessories, designer garden gear and clothing, KAMERS vol geskenke is not into the perfectly made or the mass produced – it’s about high end true craft, slightly imperfect, timeless and originally designed… that special something that is only found at the show.
The event will be taking place from 25-29 October 2011 at Lourensford Wine Estate in Somerset-West from 9am to 6pm daily and from 29 November to 3 December 2011 at The Open Window in Irene, Centurion from 9am to 6pm daily. For more information visit their website here.

{ Music on Meir }
Meir is one of the main shopping streets in Antwerp, from the best clothing stores to cool cafés and interesting street performers, oh, and a chocolate factory – how could I forget that! Above are some musicians who regularly perform on Meir. It just makes my day when I get to listen to such talented people performing in random places, like the entrance to Esprit! The guy with the piano – now there’s making an effort! Think I’ll be spending some quality time in this street over the weekend; hope you have a fabulous weekend too!

I can’t wait to get my hands on one of those pillows! What do you think? Does it make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside too?
